Major Equipment is delighted to be participating in the Turfgrass Growers Association Trials and Exhibition.
VENUE CHANGE: Due to unfavourable ground conditions at Tillers Turf, the working segment has been postponed. The trade exhibition will now take place at the Agrigem Ltd offices on Thursday March 22nd from 13:30 to 16:00. The address is Unit 6, Riverside Enterprise Park, Skellingthorpe Rd, Saxilby, LN1 2FU.
Formed in 1995, the TGA comprises some 60 companies, collectively responsible for producing approximately 70 per cent of the cultivated turf grown in the British Isles and supplying specialist knowledge and infrastructure to that industry.
Major Equipment will be demonstrating a Major 2.4m Swift Roller Mower on a 46hp New Holland compact tractor kindly on loan from Platts Harris. As part of the static display, Major will have a Major Synergy Mower and 5.5m Swift Roller Mower on show.
Albar Landscapes is just one turf farm in the UK running a Major Swift Roller Mower. Albar Landscapes Ltd is a commercial landscaping and turf growing company based just outside Glasgow. The company specialises mainly in large commercial projects, including prestigious house builders and commercial developers.
Gordon and his team at Albar Landscapes Ltd use a Major 5.5m Swift Roller Mower for all the mowing of their turf. “We use the Major Roller Mower for reseeds and just prior to the turf going out the door. The finished cut is excellent,” he said. Click below for the full video.
