We ran the 4.2m Major Cyclone in the same environment as a 3m front mounted flail. Even with an extra 1.2m wide cut, the Major used 50% less diesel per hour. The flail used 34 litres per hr, the Major 17 litres per hr. So 30% more for 50% less!
