3500 Tandem Tanker – Michael Canny

I’m milking a high-yielding herd of Holstein Friesians and followers on 200 acres. I aim at running a very efficient system here because we only have two hundred acres and I need to make sure I can maximise yield and minimise costs at every point. We spread slurry back onto the grazed and zero-grazed pastures on a daily basis throughout the year. I wanted to expand the capabilities of my slurry handling system and reduce the number of trips into the field. So an order was placed for a 3500 gallon Major tandem tanker with an autofiller arm, 10,000 litre pump and a 7m trailing shoe. Everything about this tanker reflects quality and as I manage the farm on my own, the Major makes my life a lot easier
