We will be exhibiting the Contoura Roller Mower at the annual BIGGA Turf Management Exhibition (BTME) in Harrogate from 23rd-25th January 2024.
The Contoura is an exceptional versatile mowing solution on undulating terrain. The multi-pivoting frame makes it possible for the Contoura to follow ground contours easily and efficiently. Six rotors and twelve blades fit under the three pivoting decks. A simple adjustment converts the 5mm boron steel blades from rigid blade to swinging blades for increased utility in challenging golf rough, fairways and sports grounds.
The gearbox driveline delivers high blade-tip speeds at 76 m/s to create the lift so each leaf blade is finely cut and dispersed for a high-quality finish. This low-maintenance system eliminates problems associated with belt-driven mowers and reduces the total cost of ownership.
Full length rollers follow undulations and deliver a striped presentation across the 3.6m working width. Zero-turn capabilities allows for use in confined areas or around obstacles without turf damage.
Made of high-performance Strenx ™ 700MC steel and galvanized, the Contoura Mower is built to withstand working in corrosive environments.
“It’s a perfect machine for anyone who wants to cut rough,” says Colm McGuinness, course superintendent at Roganstown Golf Course and Swords Open Golf Course. “It cuts in the wet, it cuts in the dry. It leaves a good finish all the time. I would recommend it to anybody.”
Skipton Golf Club course manager Ian Brown echoes this sentiment. “We’re really impressed with this mower,” he begins. “It’s so easy to set up; we can be away mowing in a matter of minutes. Our course is in the Yorkshire Dales so it’s pretty hilly, but the Contoura just glides over all the undulations leaving a lovely, finished cut.
