Summer makes an appearance at the Ploughing 2008!
The Ploughing Championships is always a remarkable event but this year, probably even more so, with 100 extra stands, a wonderful site and by far the finest weather of the summer.
Despite the difficult economic circumstances, the banks present at the show all agreed that of the various loan categories agriculture is the best performing.
MAJOR had a very busy successful show and this show sets the tone generally for the year ahead. The mood was very positive and every item on the MAJOR was sold by the end of the show.
The biggest interest was in the MAJOR Tipping Trailer, where in addition to the trailer on the stand, 10 more units where sold during the show. This general purpose trailer has been designed to offer maximum strength with stable towing characteristics and is suitable for a variety of applications including the transportation of the coal, mineral, sand, small stone & grain. The Ploughing is an enormously important event in the Agricultural calendar and MAJOR look forward to the Ploughing in Naas in 2009.
